swiz.org is named for the late 80s Washington DC hardcore band. Late to reserve a personal domain name, it was hard to find something both short and personally insteresting. Over my three decades working in system software, friends thought it was short for software wiz or system wiz. Perfect.
Swiz records were originally relesed on Sammich Records, but have been re-released on Jade Tree.
I've seen Swiz several times, in New York, Conneticuit, Massachusetts, California and DC. The image is from Gilman Street was used in an MRR ad. I happen to to be in the picture. Still a great band.
